I am currently the Director of IT for the School of Education, and have experience in IT services and support going all the way back to 2002 when I started as an hourly helpdesk consultant. Over the last few years, I have found community engagement and volunteer service to be an immensely rewarding component of my professional identity, especially my four years serving on the board (two years as Chair) of the IT Leadership Community. The Bloomington Staff Council is an opportunity for me to continue that service in a new capacity.

I’m passionate about the intersection of leadership, professional development, and equity. I want to see IU face the current and historical inequities built into the University’s structures and systems head-on, and I want to help identify and pursue tangible actions which can be undertaken by staff (especially leaders) to directly address those inequities and to foster a more inclusive and equitable environment at IU.
