I have seen many parts of Indiana University (IU) from being a student to now staff. IU changed and shaped my life in so many ways and I am grateful. My motivation to join IUBSC comes from my love that I have for the institutions. If I gain the opportunity to join, I will serve and step up when needed to help advocate and change polices advancing the staff in all departments. Moreover, I love giving back and helping when I can. Additionally, I am motivated to meet new people and collaborate. My favorite leadership theory is transformational leadership. When I think of the type of leader I strive to be like I instantly reflect on the transformations I have made in my life. The central concept here is change and the role of leadership in envisioning and implementing the transformation of organizational performance. Specifically, I am drawn to positions that are providing outreach and support to enhancing the learning of student success and retention. Building and sustaining creative and positive relationships is a passion of mine. I believe this has contributed to my success in working with multiple constituents resulting around higher education and mentorship. I enjoy helping people and building collegial relationships making the environment welcoming to all.
