Role at IU:  I have been with IU since 2020 and deals with any and all of the University’s tax and payroll issues as the Assistant Controller over tax and payroll

IUBSC Motivations:  My motivation to join the IUB Staff Council stems from the need to foster relationships in an increasing remote work world.  It can be easy to stay in one’s silo and miss out on all the amazing work done by IU staff.  The more IU staff is empowered with institutional knowledge, the more effective we can all be.  Even with 3 years at IU, Margot continues to learn more and more about IU and how all of our work fits together.  Making connections with colleagues and fostering methods for those connections is vital for our overall success.  It’s always amazing how much quicker a question can be answered if someone just knows the right person to contact about an issue!
