Biography

Amy Oakley is the Director of Outreach, Alumni Engagement and Events for the Indiana University School of Public Health. Amy supports the school in it's continued efforts to stay engaged with SPH-B alums, and planning school-wide and signature events including the Distinguished Colloquium Series, SPH-B Annual Awards Gala, Commencement Ceremonies, and various symposiums and conferences.
Amy earned her Bachelors degree from Indiana University, and previously worked for the Indiana University Alumni Association as the Alumni Programs Manager, and for the Indiana Memorial Union as the Assistant to the Special Events and Wedding Coordinator.
In addition to her role on the IUBPC, Amy is active in her community serving as the Secretary for the City of Bloomington Commission on Hispanic and Latino Affairs, is a member of the Banneker Advisory Council, and volunteers in various other capacities.

Amy's motivation in joining the IUBPC was fueled by her passion and commitment to serving, being inclusive, and being a voice for her colleagues. As a life-long Hoosier with a deep love for IU, Amy wants to work with others to promote a healthy work-life balance that incorporates professional development and unique opportunities for IUB staff who are truly the backbone of the campus.
