Morgan McMillan is the Assistant Director of the Office Financial Literacy at Indiana University, where her role is to promote the Office’s award-winning, University-wide, student financial wellness program – IU MoneySmarts. Morgan works with all 9 IU campuses as she administers training, hires and supervises student staff, and works toward state-wide expansion of the MoneySmarts Team student peer financial education program. With additional experience in financial aid and career services, Morgan received her Master of Education in Student Affairs from the University of Maryland-College Park and Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a minor in Sociological Studies from Northwestern University. She also serves as Director for the annual Higher Education Financial Wellness Summit nationwide conference.
Originally from Indianapolis, Morgan began at IU in 2014 and with the BPC in 2017. Morgan’s hobbies include playing with their 2 small dogs (and dressing them), attending musical theater events, darkroom photography, travelling internationally, baking, and the occasional writing and copy editing. She is a wealth of pop culture trivia knowledge, loves Big 10 football (affiliated with 3 Big 10 schools), and considers herself a tea connoisseur.
Morgan loves being a part of the IUBPC because it allows her the opportunity to get to know more Bloomington employees, share ideas with colleagues, learn more about the staff organizational structure and campus at large, and become intentional about integrating into the IUB culture.
